Redfin Adds 40,000 New Listings and Fresh Features for New Construction Buyers

Redfin is making it easier for buyers to discover new construction homes! This week we added more than 40,000 new construction listings to Redfin’s website and apps, allowing our customers to browse a broader range of homes for sale. Combined with new construction listings from the MLS, Redfin now offers over 200,000 new construction listings nationwide. We also launched new Community Details Pages, which help buyers see all of the listings and amenities available within a newly built community. These new features, which are powered by a partnership with Zillow, will help our customers discover more homes that fit their criteria and create a more seamless homebuying experience.

This information is particularly helpful to consumers now, as existing home inventory dwindles and new construction makes up nearly a third of all homes for sale. Redfin agents in many markets also report that new construction can provide more value for buyers, as builders are more likely than homeowners to negotiate on price, offer concessions, or throw in other valuable perks.

Explore new communities

Redfin’s new community detail pages help buyers learn more about what it would be like to live in their new community. The pages are enhanced with additional photos, videos, and maps to help buyers get the lay of the land. They also highlight amenities—like nearby parks, grocery stores and restaurants—that are important factors in deciding where to live.

Browse new and future builds

Within each community buyers can find all kinds of new construction homes, whether they’re looking for something move-in ready or prefer to browse buildable plans. Redfin’s listing pages make it clear which homes are currently available for sale, which are nearly complete, and which are buildable plans, so buyers can understand all of their options.

Easily connect with builders

Redfin’s listing and community pages allow buyers to quickly and easily connect with builders to ask questions or schedule a tour. Each community page provides a direct link to the builder’s website, contact information, and sales center location and hours.

Interested buyers can schedule a tour or ask the builder a question directly from the listing page.
